This course introduces learners to the AG Lubricants Packaging Labels Laboratory Printing Procedure. It explains the controls required when requesting, printing, verifying and retaining packaging labels for containers that will be filled by Production.
Learners will understand the responsibilities of Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Supervisors, Laboratory Managers, Filling Operators and Filling Supervisors. The course covers label request forms, label request logbooks, ExxonMobil labels, toll blending labels, first-label verification, the 4-eye check principle, customer approval for new labels, and retention of approved label records.
Key message: Labels must only be printed in bulk after the first label has been checked, verified and signed off to confirm that the batch number, product code, label description, packaging size, fill date and expiry date are correct.

Blending of Lubricating Oils
Short Description: Blending Safety • ABB System • Toll Blending • Quality Control • Product Transfer
This course introduces learners to the AG Lubricants Blending of Lubricating Oils Procedure. It explains the safe and controlled process for blending lubricating oils through both Toll Blending and Automated Batch Blending (ABB).
Learners will understand the responsibilities of the Production Planner, Blending Supervisor, Blending Operator, Laboratory Technician, CI Coordinator and Blending Manager. The course also covers HSSE requirements, raw material verification, blend sheets, hotbox operation, WMS scanning, sampling, laboratory testing, quality release, variance control and transfer of finished blends to holding tanks.
Key message: Blending must only proceed when the approved blend sheet, correct raw materials, required PPE, vessel readiness, formulation controls and laboratory requirements have been confirmed.

PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION
Purpose:
The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with the required knowledge, practical skills and workplace based experience to prepare a learner to operate as a Chemical Plant Controller. Chemical Plant Controller controls and monitors the safe and efficient operation of a chemical process plant, according to specification.

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as a Production Supervisor. A Production Supervisor - plans, organises, controls, leads, coordinates, and reviews the production operations of an organisation.
The qualifying learner will be able to manage physical and human resources in production or manufacturing processes.
